Powder Puff
In the all Mopar final it was Lacie Roumpz’s classic muscle small block powered ’74 Duster versus Deidra Johnson’s retro Hemi powered ’06 Charger. Johnson was given the head start by virtue of her slightly slower ET, but Roumpz was able to easily chase her down before the finish line to take the win. The semi-finalists were Gwen Hughes and Jolean Boag.
Sports Compact
The Semi-final round became the final round when Vladimir Tagubansa broke and couldn’t make it back to the staging lanes. Kevin Gonzalez dialed in his ’92 Honda at 14.60 against the 14.90 dial of Jeffery Swiftel’s 89 Mustang. After the launch, it was still anyone’s race as both drivers reaction times were within .013 of each other. The win light came on for Swiftel as both drivers ran way off their dial’s, but Swiftel was closer.
Jackpot
The Jackpot race provided 100% payback to the racers and was another all Mopar final, kind of. Ed Hughes staged his Chrysler 383 powered ’64 FORD truck up against “Super” Dave DuBose’s Roadrunner. Hughes dialed it a little too close and he broke out by -.006 giving DuBose the winners check and the trophy.

Think you have what it takes to take on all racers in your class and come out on top? Time to push your chips to the center of the table and go All IN! This year, Top Gun Raceway is trying out a new program to put a little more green into the racers pockets. ALL IN is run in conjunction with the Summit ET Series and is separated by the individual Sportsman, Pro and Super Pro classes.
The rules are simple. Ante up $20 before the first round of eliminations (of the Summit ET Series). The ALL IN racer who goes the most rounds in his/her class for that event, wins all of the ALL IN $$$ for that class. If multiple racers tie, the pot is divided by the number of racers who tied.
Sign up locations for ALL IN will be announced on the track public address system on the day of each Summit ET Series race. No tax forms to fill out, no track officials taking a cut, just 100% of the cold, hard cash going to the racer. Are you ALL IN???
