Due to inclement weather conditions predicted for this weekend, the season opening race is being postponed and rescheduled for the following weekend, Saturday March 20.

Bus driver and fellow Top Gun Racer, Leon Price has been tasked with putting on display that combines some sort of motor vehicles with safety at this years Northern Nevada Bus Roadeo. The decision as what to display was an easy one for Leon. He has chosen drag cars. He is asking his fellow racers to support him in his effort to show the community that local drag racing is about safely racing at a track and not being reckless on the streets. He is asking everyone to bring their cars out to the Roadeo for an all day static display and a parade or two for the drag cars. It takes place on April 11th and is the Sunday following the last Saturday Test-N-Tune before the start of the 2010 season point’s battle. He has room for lots of cars, so the more the merrier. Northern Nevada’s Wild West Bus Roadeo is dedicated to promoting Public Safety on Nevada Roads.

Roadeos, that's R - O - A - D - E - O, are safety and skill events that are hosted by public agencies, such as the American Public Transportation Association and the Community Transportation Association, Regional Transportation Commission, Washoe County School District, and private trucking companies.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tommy John and his family after Tommy was involved in a single vehicle motorcycle accident on Feb. 14th.

Tommy was giving grandson Clayton a ride when the motorcycle hit a guard rail while doing around 60mph. Both riders were thrown from the vehicle. Clayton received minor scrapes and bruises, but Tommy sustained damage to his spleen and a broken rib, which punctured a lung.

The Top Gun Raceway 2010 Schedule has been uploaded and is available to view under the 2010 Schedule link. If you had downloaded it before Jan 15, please re-download it again. Some changes have been made concerning errors in dates and the start times have been added. The racers asked for it and now we are happy to announce that a Forum page has been added to the menu bar at the top of the Top Gun Raceway site. This should allow everyone to stay up to date on track happenings and ask or answer racer questions. There is also a Classified section where racers can post buy or sell items.
